A hail of stone pounds the area in a 20-foot radius, 40-foot high cylinder centered on a point within range. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 4d6 bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The stones turn the spell's area of effect into difficult terrain until the end of your next turn.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
